Why won't you play the North East of England any more I saw on your web site you thought you weren't good enough to play England but you played back in the early eighties are you trying to say you are worse now than when you started playing. There is obviously some reason why you are avoiding England can you please let us know what it is.

I was well into you guys back in the old days and at the time, I lived just round the corner from Smithy (Little Paul) and worked with him doing sessions for local radio stations like Radio Tees. What I need to know is - how do you get your sounds? I have the same guitar/pickup/marshall combination but I just cant get that glassy sharp sound you do - are there any overdrive or compressor effects in the mix? Hi Olga, This is a bit of a nerdy question but I wanna know, so here goes. I play along with a lot of your songs but cant get the sound quite right. I use a Marshall amp (MG 30 Fx, just a baby!) and play a Yamaha Pacifica fitted with a Seymour Duncan SH4 - JB (Im left handed and poor so its the best I can do). Do you know the amp settings you use in the studio? The ones I really want are, Bass, Contour, treble and of course Gain. I guess for live work the settings depend on the venue acoustics but I assume your studio work is reasonably standard as most of your tracks have the same distinctive guitar sound, which I love! Any tips or advice you can offer me would be very gratefully received. Cheers, Dom ( Wurble )

Dom Hi! Nerdy questions are fine!! Yes, I know the settings, they do vary a little from venue to venue, but basically the same, for studio recording also. I dont have Contour on my amp! Anyway, Presence is set at 8, Treble 5, middle 3, bass 4, volume 3, preamp 8. ernie Ball strings help n all. Good luck!

Hello Olga, I have a little question about a Toy Dolls song. Years ago one of my friends had a Toy Dolls cassette (it was his brothers, but he didn't know). We were especially fond of one song, wich was hilarious for us. Now as years went by, the cassette disapeared and I only remembered the group name. Now I'm asking myself if you could tell me what the song title is. The song is about someone in bath and another guy is standing at his door ringing the doorbell... Please help me out...
