Hi Olga! Unfortunately, due to work commitments I cannot make it to the Augustibuller gig but will catch you in Durham instead. I am sure you will find Augustibuller a great little festival. As always my e-mail turns out to be a little mini interview but here we go:
1 Is there any chance of you releasing Solitary Confinement in Europe? I really want those acoustic songs.
2 I collect Toy Dolls records and have managed to get my hands on most of the stuff (including Tommy Koweys Car single and the EP thanks to my girlfriend) but I have never even seen the One More Megabyte LP. On your website it says it is released as a LP, so my question is; do you have any idea of how many copies were made?
3 On the Live in Japan VHS (I really hope this one will be released as a DVD) Kcee plays a different bass line in the stick (the Shoot! Don't Shoot thing) to We Quit the Cavalry? Did he write his own bass lines or did you do come up with them? Is Tommy writing his own bass lines?
4 Finally, here are two suggestions for songs you could cover on the forthcoming album: Spice Girls' Wannabe and Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle. I am sure they would turn out brilliant Toy Dollyfied (like the version of Livin La Vida Loca). Really looking forward to the Durham gig. Hi Jonas, nice to hear from you. Augustibuller was a blast, very friendly people. I am afraid Solitary Confinement was only for Japan release, if I can get some copies we will bring them to the UK shows, if poss! Not sure how many One More Megabytes LPs were pressed, I have seen a few around the world, I think your best bet is to search for it in USA, thats where I have seen most copies. It was probably a mistake by Kcee on Cavalry! not sure, I do write the bass lines for the songs, bass is my favourite instrument! Though Tommy does add certain things to enhance it all. Bjorn Hi Thank you!! Augustibuller was great, a fantastic festival with loadsa great bands, we really enjoyed it, though me voice was gone! ANWL were very nice people, and a great band, nice to meet them for the first time! There are a number of reasons we havent played UK, main reason is the line up, but I am very happy now, and the UK tour starts on 13th September!! See you back in Sweden!

My question is do u happen to have a book of all your songs in sheet music form? and if so where can i get it? cause i think that would be pretty nifty if i could get that so i can also play your great songs on my trombone. I know im am sure you have been asked this so many times its not even funny.. but um when does the band plan on coming to the usa ill drive anywhere in the usa to see the band but every year goes by and still no usa tour im kinda going to go in a hole and cry if you guys don't come up here heheh... id like it more that the band is closer to seattle but then again seattle sucks now.. I keep looking every once and a while to see if the updates say anything about the usa tour. I saw something a while back but havent read anything since.. so I stoped looking all the time and have moved to looking about every 2 weeks to a month and a half.. so I know there is a lot of people in the usa that is kinda wondering what is going on and if and when the band is coming here.. we all love ya over here and cant wait to see you... just asking cause ive been waiting since the last tour I did not know happened in the usa I missed.. if I can do anything to help along the tour in the usa ill do anything I can, I know a cupple places in seattle that would love to see ya there but please let me know

Ev Hi Cheers for your question, love to Sunderland! Hey, theres no rules for songwriting, sometimes the lyrics come first, sometimes a melody or riff. always different, though its 70% of the time that the melody that comes first, with me anyway! Good luck

Hi! First I wanna say I have all albums from Toy Dolls. I really like the "Orcastrated" album, and I think "Please Release Me (Darling I Loathe You)" is just perfect. Your guitar is always somethin' to inspire any guitarrist or musician (I'm a drummer!!!), and the drums are awesome like the others albums. But my question is: I have a band in Brazil, called "Cardume" means "School of fish" in english, i guess...whatever, I dream with a guitar solo from you in one of my songs, is that possible? hey olga... i'm from croatia, and i've been the toy dolls fan for 10 years (now i'm 17). in fact, i listen punk and ska music for nearly 10 years, but you're my first and only favourite band! i have my own band (i'm the drummer) and of course, our highest priority is to play like toy dolls. anyway, i don't have any particular question, and i'm quite sure that you've had enough of those pesky fans who are all the time bragging about themselves and talking about how much they love you... well, to be perfectly honest, i was really in love with you couple of years ago :))))) (i was young and stupid)... unfortunately, due to my "under age" and very strict parents, i wasn't able to come to any of your previous live shows performed in croatia. although this year, i was planning on to go to split, but i was very, very, very sad and disappointed when i found out that you won't perform. however, you have no idea how big is my wish for you to come again in croatia!! i would be SO HAPPY!! so please, please, PLEASE come to croatia, one more time, i assure you that here are a lot of toy dolls fans!! oh yeah...and... how come that it is so difficult to buy the toy dolls albums? i mean, i have to go all the way to vienna or graz or something like that to buy it (because i like to have the original cd), and it's not fair. always yours, Lucija

I've got yet another burning question for you to answer. What sort of equipment do you use in terms of amps and stuff like that? Like how to you make the Guitar and Bass sound like it does in "Jeans Been" and "Sod The Neighbours" and other heavyrockin' songs like that? Sorry I'm writing at this address, but I think you should be the best target for that question. I've found such site: www.mp3fiest.com. They're selling music in mp3 format. My question is: are they doin' it legally or not? Do you know about them, and if I'll pay them, do you get your part of my money too? :) You know what I mean. For a long time I'm not able to buy your new albums in Poland. The last i bought is Orcastated... it's more than 10 years... I'm not too happy watching new titles which are not accessible for me. I'd like to buy all new albums, but I have no proper source in Poland... Can I buy them there?

Hi Thank you! the guitar equipment is a marshall JCM 800 2203, and a Fender Telecaster standard, bass is a Musicman Stingray and an Ampeg SVT top with a 8 x 10 cab. not sure about that site, best to ask Secret Records I think! You should be able to get all albums from Captain Oi, or Secret Records Limited, both on the internet.

I am going to be in London at the end of September and was overjoyed to find out about the Carling Academy Islington gig...but I just found out that it is sold out! (sob).
