SEPTEMBER 2024

Welcome to Autumn You Lot, and as usual, you know the rules, lets get straight down to business with a few pics from the last days of the summer festivals.

Sadly the festival season has come to an end - with the exception of the ‘ONCE A PUNK’ Festival in Belgium on 7th December, the final show of 2024. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!! Check the tour dates for tickets before they sell out like the last time the lads played this festival a few years back.

OK, remember that series of video interviews we filmed with our Ronan & Olga about the Toy Dolls albums? Well, yes you’ve guessed it, we are about to film a full set of videos with Ronan and Olga again, though this time it will be all about the Toy Dolls singles! This promises to be very interesting, and I, for one, can't wait to hear the stories behind these songs! And yes, it's me filming / editing the videos, but I wont be spilling any beans!! You will have to wait!

Filming is due to start in November, editing is gonna take some time, but we are hoping to start getting them out to you in January or very early 2025. It's gonna make a real nice change from me saying "Olga is still writing the next album"! :0)

Apart from it being the end of the summer season, we have now ended the bit in the show where Olga gives away The Toy Dolls glasses, end of an era, we have no glasses left!
BUT, at the same point in the show, Olga will now be signing a Toy Dolls frisbee! Yes, you heard correctly, he will sign and date it, throw it into the crowd, and whoever catches it can take it to the merchandise stall and swap it for a Toy Dolls t shirt of their choice! No catch, (apart from the frisbee of course!). If you don’t want a t shirt, you can just keep the frisbee instead!

Ok, we really do know that Olga is back in the studio writing as we speak, let's wait for some news from him ASAP!

AUGUST 2024

Hello You Lot, you know the rules! Lets get straight down to business...

First up, Olga is no further forward with writing The Toy Dolls next album, why should we lie to you?! With the workload of The Toy Dolls and Cockney Rejects, he has simply had no time! However, the summer festivals are approaching an end now, and he is hell bent on getting back to the writing!

So there you have it! The truth! He tells me he has been collecting lots of ideas in the meantime, so the break from writing actually could be beneficial!

We have some new, GIANT stickers that will only be available at the live shows. These are an amazing chrome effect, very expensive to print so we only have a limited amount. We haven’t decided on a price yet, but it'll probably be around €15 / 20.

We will have more 2025 shows to start announcing soon, but in the meantime here is a list below of THE TOY DOLLS dates 2024.

A massive Thank you from Olga himself for all the lovely comments about the Cockney Rejects show at Rebellion Festival Blackpool on August 4th, he is totally flattered.

We have included a list of Cockney Rejects shows for 2024 too, if wanna go along and show Olga your support!

Oh, by the way, the Cockney Rejects show at the 100 Club show on 14th December has a limited amount of tickets left, get 'em here while you still can!

Hello You Lot! Welcome to springtime UK!

You know the rules, so let's get straight down to business!

OK, before you ask, writing is still continuing on The Toy Dolls' next album. It's taken a bit of a set back due to Olga joining The Cockney Rejects, who are heavily into rehearsals as we speak, but all is good in Toy Dolls land!

Get yerself along to support Olga with the Rejects if ya can, I know he's a bag of nerves joining the new line up but he tells me they are great bunch o’ guys. First show is at Ermua Vertigo Rock Festival, Basque Country on 11th May. Check The Rejects site for details here: www.cockneyrejects.com

Anyway, Olga will be getting back to The Toy Dolls album writing whenever possible!

So, this month sees the lads back on the road! Be quick if you need tickets for the two Polish shows on 26th & 27th, and be extra quick if you intend going to the show in Austria on May 4th, this one is almost sold out!

MARCH 2024

STATEMENT FROM OLGA.

Hello You Lot!

Just letting you know some news!

First off, The Toy Dolls are not splitting up! The next album is being written and we are continuing to do shows! Me, Tommy & Duncan! So don’t worry!

OK, following a huge world tour in 2023, The Cockney Rejects completed the year with two shows at London’s 100 club. I was watching 'em on You tube 'n' social media throughout the year as I have always been a fan. Even two of my old mates Tony (RIP) and Andrew (RIP) were members of the Rejects for many years.

Anyways, The Cockney Rejects have a number of shows booked throughout 2024, however, as Jeff will announce, Mick, Vince & Joe will not be doing them.

In the meantime, rather than cancel all the Rejects shows, Jeff has decided to recruit 3 new members. They will be me (Olga - The Toy Dolls) on guitar, JJ (Last Resort) on bass, and Ray Dust (Argy Bargy / Knuckledust) on drums.

I am doing this as I am a Rejects fan, and because Jeff is still so incredibly passionate about it all!

No way could I ever pretend to be Mick Geggus on guitar, Mick has his own style and sound. Mick’s technique, throughout the years, has evolved into a more rock approach than mine, I am more early R&B, so I will sound and play more like the early Rejects records.

Like I said, I am not trying to be Mick! Just gonna be meself! Mick is a lovely guy, and I wish him all the best.

Really looking forward to seeing You Lot at The Cockney Rejects shows this year!

Next up, 25 songs to learn, and rehearsals! Can’t wait to get stuck in!

Well then... here we are into The Toy Dolls 45th year! OMG!!!

So, you know the rules, lets get straight down to business.

As usual Olga is still busy writing the album. He will be at his studio as we speak still working on track 9, but it's almost done he tells me! More news soon...

After mountains of emails claiming to know the correct answers to the Christmas competition, we have a winner! Drum roll... Congratulations Fernando Ferriz Verdú from Alicante, Spain.

A reminder of the questions, and the answers:

Q: What size is Duncan’s bass drum? A: 20”.

There were only a handful of correct answers from over 350!! Those few were put into a hat and the winner chosen at random. Fernando, your lovely prize ‘SONG BOOK NUMBER 1’ will be sent over the next few days. Enjoy!

OK, as you can see, the gigs for 2024 are starting to come in. Both Alkmaar and Hengelo in Holland have already sold out, so be quick if you wanna get tickets for Maastricht as over 500 tickets have already sold for this one! The other club shows in Austria & Poland are off to a flying start! DO NOT MISS OUT like lots of you do, then end up sending messages to Facebook saying you forgot, or you didn’t know! NEW RELEASE!
A very smart 2 x CD set of The Toy Dolls singles is being released by Cherry Red Records.
‘THE SINGLES’ is released on the 12th of April, but you can pre-order now here.
A really nice collection and very well presented. Cool stuff.

OK, there are a number of other shows confirmed for 2024 but not yet announced. More are expected, club shows and festivals will be announced over the coming weeks, so keep checking those tour dates! 2024? BRING IT ON!!!
